Best Pest tour

If you’d like to see the city’s cultural and architectural growth through the centuries, come with us to the versatile Pest side! The bustling city of Pest cannot wait to to be explored. Join us to not only see but really experience the city. Learn more about the 2000-year-long bath culture, our connection  to Attila the Hun, our origins, the Hungarian Millennium and the evolution of our culture in the restless heart of Europe.

Itinerary: we start with the UNESCO site of Count Andrássy’s prestigious Avenue dotted with numerous gems along its length and ending in the embrace of the monumental Heroes’ Square and the magical City Park beyond. In the park we take you to Budapest’s fairytale castle. Later around the Opera House we’ll expose the infamous stories of Hungarian musical giants like Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók, and Zoltán Kodály.

Then we take you to one of the most visited attractions of Budapest, the St. Stephen’s Basilica, where we relate our transition to Christianity together with the earlier beliefs of Hungarians.

We’ll also guide you through the most turbulent periods of Hungarian history from revolutions to peace and from peace to terror as experienced in the 20th century. On the ironically named Liberty Square the devil is in the details. We round off the tour with perhaps the most remarkable of buildings in Pest: our House of Parliament.
