Danube Bend tour

Let us show you around the scenic Danube Bend, understandably the most visited spot in Hungary after Budapest. We take you through Hungary’s turbulent medieval history with the help of three cities. Fortresses, fascinating landscapes, a near-Mediterranean town, and more. Join us!

Itinerary: Esztergom, the former capital of the historical Hungarian Kingdom awaits you with its fortress and grandiose basilica. We take you to a quick photo stop to our northern neighbor Slovakia, in order to marvel at the impressive view of Hungary’s largest Roman Catholic church.

After the former capital city of Esztergom, we drive to Visegrád and follow the steps of our country’s most influential king, Matthias (Mátyás). There you’ll see why this part of the Danube Bend was historically the favorite spot of royalty and remains a favorite destination today. The panoramic view from the hills and fortress of Visegrád is absolutely captivating.
When we’ve had our fill of the view of the bend in the river, we include a lunch break at a nearby restaurant. To round off our trip, we visit the charming town of Szentendre. Its colorful houses represent cultural diversity: Szentendre is rich in both exciting history, and artistic heritage. This multicultural romantic little settlement is also termed the ‘town of artists’ for there are countless museums, galleries and workshops along its cobblestone streets.

According to your requests we can customize the tour visiting only 1 or 2 cities from the above mentioned package (i.e. 4-hour Szentendre, 5-hour Visegrád, etc.). Don't hesitate to ask for your optimalized quote!
