Itinerary: After just a 35-minute drive from downtown Budapest we reach one of the favorite summer residences of royalty in the city of Gödöllő. We introduce you to the rise and fall of the Grassalkovich family, the founders of the palace, and highlight the story of Queen Elizabeth (Sisi), one of the most celebrated people of Hungary and Austria’s mutual history. By visiting the magnificent royal apartments and the English garden, the legend of Sisi and her love towards Hungary will come to life.
